Admission Key Facts:
All students registered to attend our English Language courses will be required to take an English Language Placement Test, which will assess the relative abilities of each student. Students are then placed into ability groups based on the results of their assessment, and the material that they study is tailored to the level of the class.
Once you have booked your place on a course we will send you information on how to take our online Placement Test. This test should take approximately one hour and be taken by the student at least one month prior to their arrival date.
Please note that Oxford Royale Academy English courses do not cater for beginners in English.

Course Overview
This online chemistry summer course aims to give you more confidence and foster curiosity about pursuing the subject in your future studies; no one should leave this course under the impression that Chemistry is boring. The course uses class discussions, debates, presentations, role plays and written work to explore topics that you will not have encountered before in your academic career. It will encourage you to think broadly and to apply transferable skills in your future academic studies.
All teachers are highly qualified and will be happy to answer your questions concerning chemistry. Teachers will also be able to give advice on university applications, interview questions, and the plethora of careers that are open to Chemistry graduates.

- Atomic structure, the periodic table and bonding
- Moles, molarity and aqueous solutions
- Acids and bases
- Dynamic equilibrium

- Chemistry of DNA, amino acids and proteins

- Be able to explain key concepts relating to equilibria and the properties of acids and bases
- Possess a foundation of knowledge in the areas of thermodynamic and kinetic theory
- Understand key spectroscopic techniques and their applications in research
- Understand the central dogma and the role of chemistry in DNA, amino acids and proteins
- Feel more confident when presenting your analysis, deductions and opinions to your peers, both online and in person
- Have gained an insight into what it would be like to study a chemistry degree at university level
